As a Technical Preparation Engineer (TPE) you will be GTO Powertrain Production responsible for product, being the main interface of GTO towards Group Trucks Technologies (GTT) department for product engineering. This position will include supporting in selected projects, secure that GTT delivers a product that is verified & aligned with Volvo Production System and Future Factory Concept.
Within the scope of the position is to help to develop new way of thinking and to drive manufacturing strategies business goals from industrial system perspective.
As Technical Preparation Engineer (TPE) you will be responsible to:
• Steer product development in delivering on the project target assembly graph, Physical Modules, and Marriage Points while supporting GTO Strategic Objectives
• Set and balance all technical requirements on product
• Evaluate and recommend product concepts
• Contribute to the development, verification and sign-off of the technical solutions
• Manage internal ?GTO Product? coordination and initiate and lead an internal GTO network with Manufacturing/Intro Engineers
• Drive activities to part diversity targets
• Lead for GTO all DFA (Design For Assembly), including D4L (Design for Logistics) considerations, to ensure product meets process capability within the Production Facilities
• Drive product problem resolution (PROTUS)
• Provide requested data to support the MSM (Manufacturing Strategy Manager) in Technology Development activities
• Promoting a team environment and drive common regional understanding between sites.

Qualifications
• With a real talent for cultural integration, and business analyses Technical Preparation Engineer (TPE) holds a University/Master?s Degree or equivalent, and is able to demonstrate successful international and multi-cultural business experience.
• Experience with Machining within production is considered merited.
• The position holder understands the complete chain of the logistics business and is familiar with modern managing principles and techniques within a matrix organization. This includes good understanding of the commercial vehicle and off road industry and business analyses, as well as a broad knowledge of global manufacturing.
• Experience from work in a global organization and in a team-based environment
• In a group that values quality, safety, environment, diversity and respect for the individual, the Industrial Project leader is above all an effective leader.
• Demonstrated skills in Leadership and Communication
• As all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required.
