Hydro66 is now searching for a Technical Pre-sales Engineer to actively help our public cloud and data center colocation sales teams reach success. As a Technical Pre-sales Engineer, you are in the front line between Hydro66 and our existing, potential, and strategic customers.
This is a multi-disciplinary role. First, you will be responsible for the continuous development and improvement of the pre-sales and sales process. Second, you will support our sales teams with answering technical inquiries and preparation of specific pre-sales documentation (product- and technical descriptions, and RFI/RFP/RFQ responses) and will be playing a significant role in the sales process.
Your responsibilities
You will lead the technical aspects of the initial sales cycle and you will work closely with both the sales, engineering, and support-teams to generate new opportunities within the IT-market. You are consulting in your role towards prospective clients, and you are an active listener in order to understand their technical and business needs. You are also helpful with generation of price quotations, technical documentation, and other standard materials for the sales process. You will be working with technologies such as HPE, CloudSigma and Gigabyte.

Your background
To succeed in this role, you need to be fluent in English. You also need an academic degree in computer science / engineering or equivalent. You have technical knowledge and consultative skills. You might have previous experience in sales development or equivalent for business services, ICT or a cloud platform company. It's a plus if you have an intermediate, or higher, level of proficiency in German, as well as experience in software sales engineering or pre-sales.
