The European Product Management (EPM) department, part of Business Unit Health and Medical Solutions, is a strong contributor to the Inco business and is responsible for driving and owning the TENA Incontinence assortment. EPM has a key decision making and business oriented role and cooperates closely with Markets, Global Category, R&D, Factories and Technology.
We are now looking to recruit a solution driven packaging engineer to join the Packaging Solutions Team within EPM. The position will be based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
In the Packaging Solutions Team, we create, own and maintain Packaging Solutions and specifications for our Incontinence assortment to be aligned with the needs of the business.
The role as Technical Packaging Specialist is responsible for securing a competitive, relevant and cost effective packaging solutions for our assortment, and to bring it to market. All in line with the overall strategy of the business.
Main Tasks
Create, own and maintain technical packaging solutions for the Incontinence assortment.
Balance all packaging attributes and requirements to initiate packaging specifications improvement on current packaging assortment including primary, secondary and tertiary packaging- bags, cartons, transport boxes and pallet.
Drive, coordinate and implement packaging cost and quality improvement as well as new packaging initiated from markets in close cooperation with packaging suppliers and factories.
Participate and contribute and being responsible for Packaging development in Innovation Projects. Develop, verify and validate and secure that packaging specifications meet project goals on packaging as well as giving input on logistic impact.
With a holistic view actively drive packaging "questions" and cooperate with main stakeholders as Packaging Suppliers, Factories, Market representatives, Sourcing, Technology, Technical Article Managers, R&D, Graphical Design Specialists and other team members with a total task approach.
Create and Manage packaging specifications
Key Competencies
University degree in Engineering
Understanding and experiences in product development methodologies
At least 3-5 years' relevant working experience
Pro-active and goal oriented
Structured way of working with a pragmatic and hands-on approach
Strong communication skills
Good Analytical skills
Ability to work in international networks
Fully proficient in English, both verbally and written
Experience of Packaging development or logistics is a merit but not a prerequisite
High Business interest and understanding (customer and market)
Project management skills
Ability to travel 20-40 days per year
