The team Systems Safety is responsible for judging the system safety in the vehicle electrical system.

The definition of Safety includes traffic safety, safe degradation and functional safety.

As a technical manager, vehicle safety, you are a vital part of the development of our electrical system to be safe and sustainable throughout the life cycle. Your judgement and product knowhow are key factors for a safe vehicle.

Tasks

You will be the expert in judging the safety of the vehicle functionality and systems with the tasks to:

• define the safety concepts/architecture for the future electrical system.
• coach/teach in several methods for safety analyses (FMEA, FTA, etc.).
• perform safety analyses on vehicle level as well as evaluate analyses per function.
• continuously improving our way of working
• participate in international standardization work



As a technical manager you have the mandate to reject technical/functional solution not fulfilling our safety praxis

Your values, acting and sharing of expertise guides others in doing what is right.

This requires collaboration with several other Scania co-workers in all our project phases, from early concept to service and maintenance.



Your Profile

To succeed in this position you have a well proven record of working with safety critical systems. Maybe as a system/function owner or safety manager, preferably at Scania or within the TRATON group. Since you will be working in a global environment you express yourself fluently, both in speech and writing in English. German language is meritorious.

• You have at least 5 years of safety related work preferably within embedded system or other safety critical technologies

• You are easy to collaborate with, imaginative, analytic and have outstanding communication skills

• You are brave and have great integrity
