Cleanliness is becoming increasingly important. It can affect the performance, durability and lifespan of our products. As our products contain more advanced technical systems it also becomes more sensitive to inbuild residual or foreign particles during all steps from logistics to production. If not properly handled it can also lead to an unnecessary high cost due to too high level of cleanliness. So far a few dedicated experts has dealt with this for the combustion engine but there is an increasing demand for developing electro mobility, cooling systems etc. It was therefore decided that R&D would employ a Technical Manager for Cleanliness coordinating demands and compliances on the right levels necessary for our product.
You will be part of the electrification group within Materials technology R&D. The group consist currently of eight experienced research engineers. Our task is to supply Scania with technical expertise on materials for electrification.
Your main tasks
You will as the technical manager for cleanliness coordinate a network of representatives from departments/sections at R&D and be responsible for Scanias cleanliness strategy in a cost effective manner but also in an performance perspective.
It also involves the following tasks:
• Participation as an expert to support in questions regarding cleanliness in different projects and in case of deviations.
- Responsibility for external coordination towards automotive international standardisation groups like VDI and ISO, but also Traton & VW etc
• Manage Internal cross functional coordination between R&D, purchasing and P&L
• Initiate internal and external projects for advancing the area forward and spread awareness and knowledge
• Be the expert decision-maker for long-term strategy and in contemporary matters related to issues of technical cleanliness

Your Profile
We are looking for you that want to work with cleanliness for the future at Scania.
We think that you for example have a PhD/MSc in Production technology, Quality, chemistry, material physics or similar with good knowledge of processes for analyzing and measuring cleanliness. You have practical experienced and good knowledge in cleanliness. You think strategically in the specialist field and not least you want to learn more and develope the field of cleanliness.
You possesses good knowledge of cleanliness and requirements strategy. You should be able to communicate results in a clear and educational way, both in Swedish and English.
Characteristics such as initiative and good cooperation skills are necessary. And you act engagingly and as a mentor.
A positive, creative, and social person with experience within technical cleanliness standards, issues and the developing these. A team player who also can take charge and drive the technical area forward and support people in different parts of the organization, driving the standardization and best practices.
You are dedicated, curious, interested and driven to develop new ideas and deliver results. You thrive working in teams and are inspired by a creative climate surrounded by highly competent colleagues. You are customer oriented and outwardly can represent Materials Technology internally at Scania and externally towards Universities, institutes and companies in project collaborations.
