Working with DSP Engineers in the audio video and speech coding area, The Technical Manager position with Signature DSP will give you the opportunity to work on exciting research projects around codec development and Embedded development projects.
Ideally you will have a very strong mathematical background either academically or professionally, experience programming in C or C++ and working in either a DSP or Embedded environment. Managing a team of experienced engineers atleast for a period of 2 years is a must and so is the ability to mentor and help the teams technically and startegically. The technical manager will be responsible for co-ordinating research activities and oversee transforming the research into final customer products.
Essential:-
• Strong mathematics related degree or suitable experience
• C or C++ software coding skills
• Strong knowledge of DSP principles
• Good understanding of Audio CODECS and their implementation in the embedded world.
• Thorough understnading of mp3, AAC, and MPEG standards and their commercialization
• The ability to communicate technical knowledge effectively in a development environment and team management.
Desirable
• Experience working with (Audio, Video and Speech) compression formats
