You will be part of our Information Management team at Aftermarket Technology, department Service Engineering & Information Management. The majority of our team dedicated technical information specialists, always striving to deliver pedagogical, supportive and easy accessible technical information to our different dealer networks. We have also team members responsible to support CAD processes and Virtual Development.

As Technical Information Specialist you will be responsible to plan, write and maintain technical information. Content may include information types such as Design & Function, Service & Maintenance and Accessories information.

The position offers challenging and interesting work where you will have the opportunity to develop a broad technical understanding of our existing products as well as of new technology. It is a creative and independent work with plenty of room for personal responsibility.

We work in a highly global and project driven environment. Both planning and the writing itself require a great part of networking with people in different parts of the organisation, e.g. the design department, technical service and technical training, in order to get the right input and to build up knowledge.

Main activities and responsibilities
Your main focus will be to analyse the technical scope in new incoming projects; plan work, use your network to update or create new information. We have illustration support in the team, but if you have the qualifications, you can illustrate your own publications. At times with high work load you will also support and coordinate additional resources and approve their work within your field. Specific activities and responsibilities:*Responsible for delivering chassis unique technical publications
• Cost estimation and planning production of publications
• Gather needed product documentation and data
• Securing good structure and quality of publications
• Drive and coordinate proofreading
• Coordination of additional resources when needed
• Maintain existing information (case handling)
• Report issues and progress in running projects

Qualifications
You have a Master of Science, or other relevant education plus experience, within Mechanics, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering. Preferably you have experience from technical communication and in structured writing (XML). You have strong language skills (written and spoken) in both Swedish and English (authoring language is English). We see it as an advantage if you have product knowledge, specifically within vehicle mechanics and electronics. It 's considered a merit if you have formal education in technical communication, experience from working with CAD data and working with and creating illustrations.

Personal profile
We are looking for you who like to explain complex technical matters to others by the means of text and illustration. You have strong pedagogical skills and an ability to work independently with large amounts of information in a structured way.

You have experience from communication through text and images and have a natural feel for style and tone of communication. For success in this position you are a team player with drive who likes to interact and communicate with other people. You have a natural interest to learn new things and are eager to develop and improve.
