Technical Illustrator
Our department, "Graphics, Service & Owners Information" is searching for a technical illustrator. In this roll you are expected to be self motivated and able to work on your own initiative, you should also be familiar with working in a team environment. It is also important for you to be able to deliver to tight deadlines, and have confidence to have direct contact with the customer.
Your main tasks, among others, will be
• producing technical illustrations to support the communication needs of our clients. Appropriate medium and styles are selected in conjunction with our clients' requirements. Most work is two-dimensional although there may be a requirement to utilise 3D visualising software.
• interpreting our clients' business needs through illustration standards.
• multi-tasking: our technical illustrators often work on more than one brief/request at a time.
• using a wide range of media, such as Adobe applications, Macromedia tools and any other application required by our clients.
• producing accurate and high quality work.
• working well in a team, working to tight deadlines.
To be successful in this position you should have:
• Technical Illustration diploma or the equivalent
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Experience with technical illustration software including Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, Itedo Isodraw etc.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines
• A good eye for detail and a consistent and analytical approach to your work
• Flexibility, "let's do it"-attitude and good co-operation skills
Previous working experience from the automotive and / or the telecom industry is considered an advantage.
