VCC Technical Specialist Program
The VCC Technical Specialist Program is a critical contributor to the implementation of strategies for technological leadership.
The purpose with the program is to:
• recognize the need to develop a strong, technical work force dedicated to innovation, product excellence and continuous improvement of core processes

The Vehicle Dynamics team is looking for a Technical Expert in CAE who will support VCC's progress towards a virtual attribute development. Vehicle Dynamics are responsible for the development of the attribute areas Ride, Handling and Steering. You will be a member of the Vehicle Dynamics team and report to the CAE manager. The position will be within the business area Research & Development and be located in Gothenburg.

Main responsibilities

• Initiate and lead research work to improve current working methods, define new, and minimize dependency of physical testing.
• Lead research teams internally and in collaboration with universities within the Vehicle Dynamic CAE area.
• Responsible to create and update on annual basis a documented Vision, Mission & Strategy within the Vehicle Dynamics CAE area, including a benchmark report covering competitors, suppliers, new tools and methods.
• Secure virtual verification readiness by initiating and supervising Advanced Engineering and EU projects.
• Support concept studies
• Support in contacts with suppliers
• Secure succession by proactively provide mentoring, coaching, etc
• Be a go-to person within the area

Required qualifications

• At least a MSc degree within mechanical engineering, physics or mechatronics
• At least 10 years experience in computational simulation of Vehicle Dynamics
• You have demonstrated personal contribution of advanced technologies in the area
• Recognized leadership in Vehicle Dynamics CAE
• Very good knowledge in English written and spoken
• Drivers license
