Here is a golden opportunity within Manufacturing Engineering Industrialization, where we are looking for a new Technical Expert/Specialist Casting - who will be a part of Manufacturing Engineering Casting & Stamping, belonging to the Engineering & Operations unit. Your future department is responsible to develop the process and implement vehicle programs and engineering changes into the global production sites within the area of Casting
Where You'll do it
Located in Gothenberg, SE. we operate an Office First policy.
What you will do?
Technical Expert/Specialist roles lead Volvo Cars development (technology and corresponding methods and processes) within their area of casting and related expertise, specifically:
* Scientific and strategic input
* Address and resolve key technical issues
* Global surveillance, incl customer needs and benchmark
* Act as a "go to person" for advices
* Develop the organisation knowledge by teaching, mentoring and coaching
Responsibiities within area of expertise
* Be the current carrier of competence
* Secure up-to-date competence in continuity
* Support organisation with facts and experiences (independent of organisational belonging)
* Network with external organisations and peers
* Build the competence of the organization
Do you fit the profile?
* Bachelors degree in Machanical Engineering and 10+ years expeirence with designing and producing HPDC casting dies and related production processes
* At least 10yrs in functional area, experience in all program phases
* Recognized leadership in relevant technical speciality
* Teaching, mentoring, communication, team work skills
* Leadership skills
* Documentation skills, owner of technical publications, reports
* Accomplishment in eg. Record of delivery at program level with a demonstrated capability in applicable technical skills.
You need to have the ability to create good long-term relationships with employees and other stakeholders. Fluency in English is required, both written and spoken and you also need to have the flexibility to travel.
