Vehicle Motion Control (VMC) within Vehicle Energy and Motion Control (VEMC), design and develop features and innovations to create the most confident, efficient and rewarding drive and ride experience of tomorrow. Our highly skilled international teams balance attributes and functions for autonomous motion control, limit handling control and state estimation on complex vehicle architectural, using data, vehicle and actuator knowledge in a smart way.
The field of Vehicle Motion Control includes significant challenges in having an optimal control and coordination of actuators, such as brakes, steering and powertrain. Introduction of new sensors and actuators will also be a challenge and relies on getting vehicle state estimates with an appropriate confidence. The development of functions within this area requires deep knowledge in actuator mechatronics, vehicle dynamics control and functional architecture.

What you'll do
As Technical Expert you will maintain and develop relations with universities and authorities, initiate and lead research projects and act as technical advisor to management by providing expertise and strategic directions. You will assure transfer of knowledge and secure succession by providing education, mentoring and coaching on technical matters. You need to maintain personal expertise in the area and follow the research frontier covering competitors, suppliers and academics. You also need to attract and supervise master thesis- and PhD students.
Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for you that have a demonstrated in-depth technical knowledge in the Vehicle Motion Control area. You should have a comprehensive experience from research and development within complex automotive systems. We also see that you have a good understanding of software- and function development.
You should have a willingness and capability to teach, coach and mentor others. Great communication skills is important. You have excellent English skills (both verbally and in writing).

On a personal level, we are looking for self-motivated people with a personal drive and the ability to challenge and take initiatives. You have a proven ability of building long-term relationships with colleagues and since you have a lot of contact with different stakeholders, it is important that you are structured, collaborative, and communicative as well as having a holistic mind-set.
