The product has been developed by our R&D team in Lund since 1993. Today QlikView can adapt to everything from a single user on a single desktop, to a client server solution involving multiple servers in multiple locations, even on multiple continents.
The R&D Sustained engineering unit manages the Qlikview releases that are in production, by analyzing and fixing reported defects as well as preparing service releases and customer patches. The unit has close co-operation with Support and Product management with the objective of serving our customers and maintain product quality. In the team there are software developers and analysis and test engineers, in total around 15 people.
R&D Sustained engineering is looking for the most talented and technical environment specialist.
Your responsibilities
Be a key player in the Sustained engineering of QlikView
Analyze and enable complex technical customer-like environment set-ups, needed to re-produce and solve customer issues
Develop and implement a process for reproducing complex problems
Participate in improving and maintaining the customer-like environments lifecycle process
Enable complex testing in the Continuous Delivery pipeline (CD/CI)
Plan and implement automatic (?push-of-a-button?) deployments of complex environments to other team members.
Be one of the environment receivers from other stakeholders (such as Support)
Develop and train team members regarding complex problem solving
Understand the developed versions of Qlikview and how different technical environments are used by customers
Continuously learn more about the Qlikview product to gain both broad and deep technical and functional understanding of security in the product
Your profile
Bachelor degree in Computer Science (or similar)
At least 3 years working as developer/ system specialist, specialized in technical environment
Experience of working with virtual machines is a requirement (including understanding of snapshots and cloning)
Experience using agile software development methods like XP or SCRUM is required
Experience of QlikView is desirable
Analytical, methodical and thorough ways of working
Creative and open-minded as a person
Ability to work well with others in a high-pressure environment
Excellent communication skills
Excellent verbal and written English skills as the company language is English
Strong sense of responsibility and good at taking initiatives
