Description
A Technical Engineer builds and maintains technology platforms to enable software solutions to be deployed and run independently by the software engineers.
Regardless of area, tools or languages, a technical engineer builds and/or configures solutions that are easy to maintain and change, enabling a constant delivery pace to be kept indefinitely. This is achieved through continuous attention to technical excellence and good design, with extensive use of automation. The Technical Engineer work in an agile context and believes in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust. Working with a focus on value creation, growth and serving customers with full ownership and accountability. Delivering exceptional customer and business results.
In co-operation with other team members:
• Follow up on incidents, problems and changes
• Follow up on contracts and SLAs
• Point of contact for Portfolio brands business users.
• Understand business needs
• Prepare performance/load/stress test environments
• Use mPulse for performance and scalability measurements
• Coach product teams within customer area in their DevOps journey
• Responsible for CMDB objects related to the portfolio brands
• Follow up and drive improvements of processes and WoW
Mandatory competence and experience:
• Good understanding of the different solution layers from front-end/APP to cloud hardware setup
• Good knowledge of systems supporting a digital sales organization
• Good understanding how new functionality will affect performance and scalability
• Good understanding how technical components can help improving performance and scalability
• Experience of working closely with functional developers and technical teams to understand their needs
• A good understanding of marketing, retail, e-commerce and large international organizations
• Experience of working in agile development organizations
• Understanding of Splunk, Dynatrace and mPulse
• Strategic, analytical and fast in understanding and execution
• Fluent in written and spoken English
Preferred competence and experience:
• Fluent in written and spoken Swedish is meriting
Preferred personal qualities:
• Ability to understand and analyse complex information and share it in effective and powerful communications
• Ability to understand people psychology and to connect to people to encourage new behaviors
• Ability to take responsibility, work proactively and continuously improve activities in complex, quickly transforming environments
