Radio Systems group is a part of the Networks department within the CTO organization. We are responsible for the radio network functionality of 3's 3G,4G and upcoming 5G networks. As a Technical Device Manager your scope of responsibility will include everything from managing device testing and investigating day-to-day issues in lab to long term strategic work with technical roadmap and requirements management. The position requires a high degree of self-drive and responsibility Responsibilities
You will work closely with other departments within the Networks department and the commercial Device department as well as colleagues in other 3countries.
Among other things you will be responsible for
• Acceptance testing of devices and software to be released to our customers
• Technology and service deployment from device perspective (of e.g. 5G, VoLTE/VoWiFi, EVS, eSIM, NB-IOT/Cat M1...)
• Handset technical architect from on operator perspective, including managing technical requirements towards vendors and partners
• Ownership of technical relations with partners, such as chipset and handset vendors
• Internal and external technical interface for devices,for questions related to e.g. radio protocols, software and configuration
• End-to-end fault management of device related issues
We think you have
• Deep knowledge of technologies and communications protocols used by devices that interact with our network
• Senior level knowledge of cellular standards (2G/3G/4G) and signaling procedures
• Senior level knowledge of IMS and related communications technologies, s.a. VoLTE/VoWifi/ViLTE
• Knowledge of upcoming technologies such as NB-IOT/Cat M1, 5G, LAA and eSIM is considered a plus
• Knowledge of other communications standards used by devices (NFC, Blutooth, Wifi)
• Experience from log analysis of radio and core features (WCDMA/LTE/IMS/XCAP). Experience from both network monitoring tools and trace tool for handsets is considered a plus
• Solid experience of quality assurance and process development in related to software testing
• Experience from product development or product management in a technical role such as. verification engineer or software developer, preferably from handset or chipset vendor with relevant products
• Fluent in both Swedish and English
• Drivers license class B

The position is a permanent position "Tillsvidare anställning" and we are applying provanställning with placement in our brand-new office in the Globen area in Stockholm.
