Volvo Car Group is now taking a tactical step to strengthen the implementation of strategies for technological leadership through the Technical Specialist Program, which purpose is to recognise the needs to develop a strong technical workforce dedicated to innovation, product excellence and continuous improvement of core processes. The function of this program is also to provide employees with a viable technical career path, based on the needs of the organisation as well as the individual's technical contribution.

As Technical Data Analysis Expert - methods and tools within the department Measurement tools & strategy you will be an important key player to initiate and lead the technical development within the area and you will propose solutions as well as bring support to define needs connected to the future technical plans of R&D. In this role your will represent the internal and external data analysis possibilities and also act as a mentor for the engineers and PhD students in these matters. An other important part of the role will be to develop and maintain relations with Universities through supervision of doctorate programs and thesis, as well as proactively participate in seminars, conferences and conventions.

Main responsibilities
• Develop methods and tools to support analysis of the increasing amount of data
• Contribute to the increased capability to transform data to knowledge within Volvo Car Group
• Deliver applications for research and innovation projects which are co-financed by authorities

Required qualifications
• M.Sc. or PhD degree in computer science, physics, engineering or similar education
• Minimum 10 years of experience within data analysis
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Basic knowledge in Swedish
• Experience from leading teams, from requirement setting to fulfilled function for analysis solution is meritorious

• A great communicator with excellent cooperation skills
• Capacity to lead a team as well as being self driven and target oriented
• Business and performance driven
