Kollmorgen is a global company which develops motion control and Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems and we work with customers in many different industries all over the world.

The target is to provide world leading technology for the rapidly growing market of AGVs and Mobile Robots. About the position
As a Content Writer you will be a part of our R&D department consisting of about 50 engineers working within embedded systems, system software as well as Windows applications and web-services. In this position, you will be a part of our Documentation Team, which consists of three Technical Content Writers. Together with your colleagues and other agile teams you will create our smart mobile robot platform of the future.
You and your team are responsible for conveying the technical aspects of products to the end-user in a clear and concise manner. More specifically, clarifying usage of our products, features, or tools for internal and external customers.
This is how a workday as a Technical Content Writer looks like
Each day starts with a daily meeting, together in the Documentation Team, where we briefly go through what we are working on right now and if we need any help.
I spend the rest of the day learning about the features that the developers are working on. To be able to update and create information, I need to understand the upcoming software and hardware changes. My curiosity is a driving factor for learning and keeping up with the development.
Having an eye for details makes it easier to pinpoint relevant components to update and weave information pieces together. Once I have identified the necessary changes, I write the first draft, usually based on input and feedback from the developers.
In parallel with this, I am also working closely with my colleagues in the Documentation team to improve our workflows and simplify processes. We usually plan one day each week where we work together, discuss ideas and drive improvements, which makes our team very tight knit."
What you bring
• . is a Higher Vocational Education, Bachelor's or Master's degree within a relevant field (technical, user experience or similar). Additionally, you have at least five years' experience as a writer, and you have knowledge of complex systems.
The experience has given you excellent authoring and editing skills. You have a passion for writing from a user perspective. You are fluent in English, and your spoken and written Swedish is intermediate to advanced.
It is meritorious if
you have knowledge of version control systems, as we are using Git version control frequently. It is also a plus if you have experience in HTML and CSS, as we are moving towards web-based documentation.
It is beneficial if you have experience in the Atlassian suite since we are using Jira/Confluence daily for planning. It would also be great if you are familiar with content modeling and information architecture since we, as a team, are developing the information platform.
