About the position:
The Professional Services section at UIQ Technology is a subset of the Customer Services organization, which has the objective to help UIQ licensees to minimize time- to- market and bring attractive
new phones to market.
Right now Professional Services is in an exciting period of growth, and perhaps You could become a part of this dynamic team and take a front seat in the realization of the next generation of UIQ
products while working with some of the largest phone manufacturers in the world.
Tasks and responsibilities:
• Development of product specific components - all phases of the development process from requirements analysis to maintenance.
• Customer facing consultancy throughout the product life cycle, including aiding product specification, design and implementation.
• Customization of UIQ/Symbian OS components to meet product requirements.
• Participation in the integration of third- party applications on UIQ.
• Internal communication with other UIQ departments on behalf of the customer.
• Ad- hoc customer support - Professional Services is often the first point of contact when licensees require assistance with UIQ/Symbian OS software
• Training of licensee's engineers on UIQ in general or specific topics
Experience:
• At least 3 years of proven C++ product development experience.
• Knowledge of the UIQ/Symbian platform and embedded systems in general is meriting.
Meriting skills:
• Excellent problem- solving abilities
• Must be proactive and able to show initiative
• Good communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues
• Quick learner
• Confident when dealing with customers
• Good team player who also works well alone independently
• Willing to take responsibility
