WHAT WILL YOU DO? EVP Accessories team work a lot of the time in cooperation with different product suppliers to expand Axis offer to the customers. These products are often within new technical areas for Axis and we find it of great importance that the evaluation and testing of such products is done in a structured way. Therefore, we are now expanding the Accessories team with a person that will be working technical concept and supplier evaluation.
The job will include to lead the work of testing and evaluating externally developed products and also suppliers from a product/technical perspective.
You will find new solutions, alternatives, functionalities and/or use cases to the demands of the product management team and thus provide valuable input to the future products of the Accessories team.
The assignments can be very broad and unspecified or very detailed; everything from identifying and evaluating relevant candidates for future accessory products to evaluating a specific, pointed out product.
The work can therefore involve hands-on product testing and product evaluation, but also understanding Axis current and future needs.
You will work in close cooperation with the product management and commodity team but the work done can be either independent or together with a virtual team.
You will have approximately 15 travel days per year, mostly to exhibitions.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? You have a solid Technical background as well as a genuine technical interest and curiosity to learn and understand new technology. It 's good if you have a basic knowledge in electronics. We also hope that you have an experience of test procedures and product evaluation. Your English is fluent, both written and verbal. If you have experience from communicating and working with suppliers and have an interest in and experience of documentation, both for plans/scenarios and for the result of a project it 's an extra plus. As a person you are creative, driven and goal-oriented with social skills. You value both working by your own and in a team. You always try to look at things from different angles in an effort to find the best possible solution. As the role involves much communication with other teams within Axis as well as suppliers, it is important that your communication and listening skills are excellent. You enjoy establishing new contacts and cooperate, both in- and outside the organization.

The Accessories Team The Accessories team is responsible for the development and sourcing of products that complement Axis' range of network cameras and encoders. Many of our projects are based on sourced products from both well-known and new suppliers.
