PureBallast - a system developed by Alfa Laval and Wallenius Water, prevents the spread of invasive organisms between the oceans. We have a market leading position and since the launch in 2006, we have sold over 2000 systems to ship owners and shipyards worldwide. In the coming years the business in this global and dynamic market will grow rapidly. We are looking for a passionate technical communicator to our dedicated PureBallast team. Who are you?You are technical oriented with amazing communication skills, and find it easy to express yourself in writing and orally. You structure and organize your work efficiently, always wanting to achieve defined goals and deliver on time. You are happy to share your knowledge and thrives in a setting where cooperation is valued.
About the jobAs technical communicator you create new product documentation, update, improve and maintain technical documentation. You work proactively to acquire new and existing knowledge of PureBallast system and related topics as well as propagating the knowledge through the organization. Furthermore, you will work with migration from XML to topic based system Knowledge Center.
Main tasks:
Develop and maintain product related technical documentation to support customer needs.
Maintain document archive for all product documentation.
Produce configuration specific manuals and spare part catalogues.
Convert product documentation to topic based system.
What you know
Engineering degree or similar.
Experience from a technical communicator role.
Knowledge and experience from XML, Arbor text and topic based writing
Fluent in English, written and oral.

The PureBallast product is marketed and sold entirely by Alfa Laval and you will act within the global Alfa Laval organization, with many international contacts, both internally and externally.You will be employed by AlfaWall AB.
