About the position:
We are looking for a skilled Technical Architect who wants to be a part of creating and maintaining the architecture for the UIQ platform's test suits and tools. You will be part of our growing team
and continuously evolve the UIQ Platform with the latest technologies and standards for upcoming mobile phone releases.
We work tightly together in teams and always strive to deliver the highest quality to our clients. To create the UIQ Platform we use CodeWarrior/C++ for Symbian OS in a Windows based environment.
Main tasks:
• Technically responsible for your area.
• Working closely with the platform development teams
• Coaching your team members in producing a high performing UIQ platform's test suit
• To be responsible for the definition, realization, and evolution of a software system, during its entire lifetime.
• Understanding the business case for the system under development
• Understanding and clarifying the requirements for the system.
• Designing a concrete software architecture / supervising its design.
• Communicating the architecture to its stakeholders.
• Selecting the technologies / tools for realizing the software architecture
• Supervising and mentoring the implementation of the software architecture to avoid architectural drift or to react on fundamental problems regarding its implementation
Education:
A university degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar.
Knowledge:
• Good understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design
• Good knowledge of Symbian C++ programming and/or C++
• Good understanding of embedded systems
• Speak and write English fluently
• Experience of working in large projects
• Mentor/ Share knowledge within the team
