The Cloud team is a part of the Technology organization at Volvo Autonomous Solutions. We design the solutions of the future including connectivity, teleoperation, cybersecurity and cloud services for autonomous traffic, fleet and productivity management. ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are eager to get to know an experienced technical advisor who can help as navigate in the new universe of connected and autonomous vehicles. You will play an important role by supporting the organization in making the right design decisions and helping us take our concepts into customer implementations.
You will be leading our activities in standardization as well as helping us to secure that needed legislation comes in place to enable the autonomous and connected revolution. You will also support us in scouting technical trends and potential research collaborations.
You are proficient within the connectivity area (wifi, LTE, 5G, DSRC etc.) and have previous experience from senior roles working with standardization, legislation, EU directives etc. We believe you already have experience of the automotive industry and have an established network of contacts with suppliers, authorities and academia. But, most importantly, you are eager to learn new things and to constantly develop your skills.
You will be working in an agile team of engineers and software developers and we expect that you are flexible and willing to help where it 's needed to ensure the best possible solutions for our customers. If you are interested, you will also have the opportunity to be part of field testing and commissioning activities for both trucks and machines. The role also includes participating in continuous improvement of our ways of working and you will be encouraged to dream big, dare to fail, innovate and always invest time in personal development.
You are an open and creative person with a can-do attitude. You are fluent in English and love working in an international, multicultural and fun setting so you will fit right in!
