hela Sverige Global Diagnostic Engineering is the owner of Diagnostic Processes and the service tool: Tech Tool within Volvo CE.
Tech Tool is a PC based service tool for the service mechanic. It is a common tool used by the entire Volvo Group. It's main features are software programming, calibrations and test operations.
Tech Tool is owned and managed by Volvo Trucks, but Volvo CE delivers content independently.
Volvo CE has seven different entities around the world that produces test operations. Additionally we have a team of Authors (located in Bangalore, India) that implement the tests in the authoring environment, Grade-X.
As a Tech Tool Operation manager you will coordinate and Quality Assure both the test operations delivered to Tech Tool, as well as the Tech Tool builds from Volvo IT.
You will be responsible for securing that the Test Developers and Authors has the required tools and skills to do their job. This means training face to face of new employees as well as acting as a support. Also some backend system/ content support for issues coming from software support and the field is part of the work.
Together with the process manager you will set up and maintain needed processes and create guide lines for the development work to support the test operation developers in their work.
Desired Skills and qualifications:
• Deep knowledge about Tech Tool and Volvo central systems
• Knowledge about Volvo CE products, components and systems
Required knowledge:
• Deep technical understanding. You must be able to read a functional specification of any Software Controlled function and easily translate it into reality
• Basic knowledge about different communication protocols and standards within the automotive industry
• Fluent in English language, verbally and in writing
Travelling is required occasionally, in average a couple of weeks per year.
