You, Us & The Job
As Tech Lead International - Kafka for International in PostNord, you will be operating in the Production area of PostNord IT landscape. focusing on developing and maintaining international solutions. You will work in a diverse environment, and collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Tech Lead and the rest of the International development team, spread between the Nordics and India. Nevertheless, various development teams to understand business needs and deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions.
What will you do?
As Tech Lead International - Kafka for International in PostNord, you will be operating in the Production area of PostNord IT landscape. You will work closely with the Product owner, the Tech Lead International, the Architect Customs & International, and the development team.
As member of the application team, you will be heavily focused on interacting with the other development teams, understanding their needs. You will lead architectural and design decisions, and guiding team members in technical matters, and supervising system modifications, while contributing as developer of the international solutions as part of the team.
Alongside your other duties you will also guide the team in using best practices in software engineering to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code, while securing that the application itself is stable and secure.
Nevertheless, you will play a crucial role in mentoring junior team members and driving technical excellence within the team.

You take initiative, start activities, achieve results, and have an interest and have the willingness to help others and strive to contribute with technical expertise to projects, promoting the use of best practices in software engineering.
You have good communication skills, and like collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and develop robust software solutions.
You have a problem-solving mindset and have analytical skills to identify signs of degradation or risk that will cause impact to the business and to promote a plan of action to maintain quality service. In other words, how to deal with debt, and driving technical excellence and innovation within the team, while encouraging the use of new technologies and methodologies.
Your Experience
- Proven experience (8+ years) and previous working experience as a developer.
- Extensive record of working within the domain in a senior capacity.
- Working in a multi-cultural, multi-sourced environment.
- Highly skilled in communication.
- Strong Experience working in the logistics industry, the customer segments, and the market.
- Expert knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience and/or knowledge of - o International flows and systems
(Nice-to-have)
- Experience of any framework for agile scaling at enterprise level (e.g. SAFe, LESS etc.).
- Understanding data management practices, data modelling, and database design is important. Understanding large datasets and ensure data integrity and security.
- Experience in writing Powershell scripts
Technical Expertise:
- Extended experience in working with Structured Databases (MS SQL, MySQL).
- Experience with NoSQL Databases.
- Experience in using Distributed, Shared Cache solutions (Redis).
- Experience in working with integration solutions (Confluent Kafka, Tibco EMS).
- Experience in working with serializer solutions (Avro Schemas or Protobuf).
- Experience in using container orchestration solutions (K8s or OpenShift).
- Experience in Working with Grafana Cloud, Dashboards, Alerts, and notifications.
- Writing PromQL, Log QL Queries.
- Experience in using Cloud Solutions (Microsoft Azure Cloud, AWS).
- Experience in applying the CI/CD and DevOps principles in the development lifecycle.
- Experience in developing Rest API solution.
Language Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in at least one Scandinavian language is meritorious.
Education:
- University degree or similar relevant education in technology/IT or equivalent work experience in relevant areas.
