The group 91841 Measurement strategy and tools holds a central key position in delivering highly qualified solutions to the various design departments while planning ahead for the needs of tomorrow. A team within the group is committed to managing and profiling ETAS and Vector tools to best utilize them and to support when needed. We are now recruiting a Communication Tool Specialist Support Engineer for a permanent position.
The role offers procurement and supplier relations as well as close customer contact. With devoted support of the immediate team you will also become one of the company's best skilled engineers in the tools INCA and Vector suite, a position from which you are expected to support other users overcome any challenges they might face. Depending on profile, there are also possibilities to develop and conduct test procedures, preferably automated.
As team leader you will make good use of your leadership skills on a daily basis for a team of approx. six people. You will coach the team, review its deliveries and participate in setting strategies.
We believe you are a driven person skilled in a relatable engineering field. Personal characteristics of particular use in this role is the ability to manage and plan your own time, critical thinking, and that you have high integrity. As a team player you enjoy interacting with other people and can communicate clearly
Main responsibilities:
* Develop and offer expert support in the tools ETAS INCA and Vector suite
* Establish and maintain a network with the main user groups
* Test new releases before offering them to internal customers. This includes setting up test environments
* Handle licence information
* Monitor usage patterns and make structural proposals to improve tool efficiency
Required qualifications:
* B.Sc. (or higher) Electronic Engineering/Computer Science/Mechatronics or comparable
* Minimum 4 years of work experience
* Good understanding of bus based communication technology (e.g. CAN/LIN/Ethernet/Flexray)
* Fluent in Swedish and English
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience of engine calibration is a merit
* Experience of ETAS tools INCA/MDA is a merit
* Experience of working with car network(s) is a merit
* Experience of Vector tools CANalyzer/CANoe/CANape/CAPL-scripts is a merit
* Experience from making test procedures automated
