IT Manager
Ringhals AB is the largest nuclear power plant in Sweden and part of the
Vattenfall Group. The four nuclear reactors account for one fifth of
Sweden's electricity. Ringhals has over 1500 employees and is located
on the west coast of Sweden. Vattenfall IT is Ringhals' main supplier of
IT services. Due to very high security and safety requirements within the
Nuclear sector, Vattenfall IT has a dedicated organization for the delivery
of IT Services in site in Ringhals.
We are now looking to recruit a IT Manager for IT Supply at Ringhals. The tasks include responsibility for the full scope of IT deliverables that are provided by the IT Supply unit towards Ringhals. The IT delivery
On site involves approximately 80 employees. The steering of the delivery is done by a local lead team that is managed by the Manager Ringhals IT Supply. The manager Ringhals It Supply has line management responsibility for maintenance and development of nuclear specific applications. This work is done by two teams with approximately 40 employees / consultants.
Your work tasks will include:
• Managerial responsibility for two teams of in total 40 employees/ consultants
• Responsibility for all IT services provided to Ringhals
• Management of the local IT lead team with team leaders within the own line organization and from other line organizations
• Responsible for IT projects in the area of nuclear specific applications
• Responsible for application management in the area of nuclear specific applications
• Building up and maintaining relationships with the IT Demand organization on site
• Represent IT Supply unit in project steering meetings
• Budget responsibility
• Monthly reporting
The IT Manager Ringhals IT Supply is a member of the lead team within the IT Supply department Production, Asset Development and Optimization IT.
Your educational background;
Academic degree in IT, technical engineering, mathematics, science or comparable
You have experience from a position as an IT Manager with experience in managing teams in business critical areas 2-3 years minimum.
As a person you are:
• Good communication and cooperation skills
• Excellent skills in Swedish and English both verbal and written
• Demonstrated leadership and general management practices and techniques
• Ability to generate and maintain respect and trust from staff and business colleagues
• Open minded person, who has a track record of managing and developing teams
• High level of business orientation
• Knowledge of the energy sector is considered as an advantage
• Flexibility to travel to other Vattenfall locations (e.g. Germany and
• Sweden)
