Team Manager - In Car Digital Program Integration

The department In-Car Digital (ICD), is part of the Vehicle Software & Electronics unit within P&Q and is responsible for electrical systems and components in the areas of Driver Interaction (Instrument Cluster, Entertainment Displays, Switches, and Climate Control), HMI and Infotainment (Audio, Navigation, Telephony, Bluetooth and Connectivity).
The Solution and value stream within In-Car Digital consist of three different Agile Release Trains (ARTs) as well as UX-, system team and shared services. There are ART Infotainment, Connectivity and Multimedia. Our Solution has the overall responsibility for our products and programs. As a Team Manager for Program Integration, you will work in the Release Management & Shared Services team/section together with 3 other teams, Solution Integration, Test Framework and Test Object team. The section also have a Release Management Leader as well as 4 different Product Owners (PO). You will have the responsibility as a servant leader to build a strong Program Integration team and support them in their work with Security & Privacy, Solution Analysis, Complete In-Car Digital validation, Environment and Solution integration/release.
Main responsibilities
* I recruit highly skilled individuals in line with identified capability and competence needs
* Develop and coach the team members to their full potential.
* I prepare and drive long term technical strategies and set objectives accordingly in close collaboration with the POs
* I work to solve escalated team impediments with the main attention on flow and escalate when needed.
* Work environment, performance reviews and salary setting for my team
* I proactively work with competence development to assure the right competence
* I guide and coach in agile development
* I stay updated and drive continuous improvement related to my responsibilities (e.g. tools, IT, flow, ways of working)
Required qualifications
* SW/HW development experience
* BSc degree or higher in engineering, or equivalent experience
* Knowledge of Volvo Cars development process
* Leader experience
* Agile development knowledge
* Driver 's license B
Meritorious
* Knowledge and experience of development work in the automotive industry.
* VCC electrical development process
* Analysis, test and verification experience
Personal qualities
* Ability to independently plan, drive and follow up your work towards objectives
* Structured, accurate and skilled to summarize and present status of your work
* Significant people skills and the ability to navigate the political landscape
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills: must effectively communicate with technical and non- technical teams, executive management, partners and customers
* Strong team player and relationship builder
* Ability to show courage and build confidence
* Analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinising, improving, and streamlining complex work processes

Location for this position is onsite in Gothenburg, Sweden from where we expect you are able to work with adequate working permits. Working proficiency in the English language, speech and writing, is a requirement. Combined with the same skills in the Swedish language is considered a merit.
