hela Sverige ATM TS are forming a new independent team for developing the next generation of ATC SW and architecture for both conventional and remote Air Traffic Control including UTM.
Your role
Your role is to lead and be a part of a small team of very skilled SW developers that will work independently of ATM TS ordinary development teams, but in cooperation and dialogue with them.
The main tasks are:

Finalize the ongoing study on the new architecture for our two products, the Remote Towers and the Integrated ATC System.

Lead the planning and execution of this study
*
Set-up the teams way-of-working
*
Collaboration with the team's stakeholders within the organization, the product owner as well as the other product development teams
*
Virtual manager of the people in the group. They will probably still belong to their line organisation, but 100% assigned to this group. This is a subject that can change.
Your profile
We are looking for a person that is skilled and knowledgeable in new ways of developing SW. You are also knowledgeable about external requirements of traceability and robustness from our large customer base and the regulators that approves SW to be used for Air Traffic Control. You shall combine these areas when developing our new ATC/RTC platform that will be more efficient (including e g also test, release and deploy), more flexible but still following required standards when developing SW.
Required skills:

Excellent skills in software development especially in new methods like DevOps and tools like Kubernetes and Docker when forming containerized applications and functions
*
Minimum five years of relevant experience
*
Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written
*
Management skills suited for small agile teams of skilled developers
*
Experience in strategy work and product planning
Desired skills:

Experience from Air Traffic Management operation
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
What you will be a part of
This new team will be a part of the PA ATM Tower Systems. The team will report to the Head of Product Management and Strategy directly, and work in close co-operation with the Product Manager for RTS respectively I-ATS.
The PA ATM TS consists of 150 people in Sweden (mainly Gothenburg, Växjö and Sundsvall) and the Netherlands. PA ATM TS is a part of the BU Traffic Management in BA Surveillance. ATM TS is in a turn around phase where this new software and architecture will be instrumental when addressing the future.
The PA have successfully developed the known RTS system that now is world leading and now it's time to take the next step. The whole purpose with this new team is to work independent and faster than the established WoW in Saab, therefore we are looking for high capacity and easy to cooperate people to this new team, hence we are looking for people with drive and energy.
