Trying to purchase something is still far from a perfect experience, especially online. Not only are you taken through a tedious sign-up process, you're also expected to trust the merchant and pay them before you even get to look at the merchandise. No wonder that only 9% of total commerce is done online: it's just not easy or safe enough!

Klarna is looking to solve all that. By providing a friction free product and world class risk management we offer both the customer and the merchant a great purchase experience. No one gets ripped off, and the customer and the merchant can carefree continue with their transaction.

We are Klarna's Risk Management team; we deploy state of the art methodologies and tools (forensics, pattern recognition, network analysis, advanced statistics and even Theory of Constraints) to deliver the decisions that make Klarna's business model possible.

We are growing rapidly and are now looking for a Team leader to Risk Operations. The team you will lead consists of highly motivated analysts who specialize in using our methodology and tools to prevent payments fraud, predict credit worthiness and stop abusive behavior. They work individually and in groups to identify patterns in user behavior data and turn these patterns into accept and reject decisions, delivered both manually and automatically.

You will manage essential parts of the day-to-day operations. Among other things, this includes:

• Overseeing the team, managing projects, and supporting other departments

• Helping the team meet KPI's and goals

• Identifying new KPIs to measure new improvements

• Working with the team to identify new rules, processes or tools to drive efficiencies

• Providing feedback on trends and analysis into upstream and downstream processes to improve acceptance rates

• Ensuring that operational deadlines are met and that the quality of work is maintained

Some formalities:

• This is a full time position in Sweden (Stockholm)

• Fluent in English is a must. Additional languages are a plus, especially Swedish

• A University degree is preferable

• Some technical skills or background (doesn't have to be formal) will push you to the front of the line. Please don't refer to proficiency with Office as "technical skills", but rather to e.g. SQL, web-programming or interface design.
