To support our office in Stockholm, we are seeking to fulfill the following position.
The Challenge
We are currently looking for a team leader quantitative analyst to work with the sports betting quantitative analyst team in Stockholm. The team has the function to act as a competence centre for quantitative analysis in the sports betting area (e.g. fraud detection and prevention methods, trading and risk management methods ?). As leader of the team you have the responsibility for coordinating, representing, coaching and developing, and consulting the team to achieve defined results.

The Role
Currently our team focuses partly on fraud detection and prevention, partly on creating mathematical models to support trading of a Sportsbook. Trading a Sportsbook consists of odds compilation and liability assessment (think of it as being quite similar to how a Stock Exchange works). You will start by overseeing previously defined projects that are in progress and as you gain domain experience you will, together with your team, bring up your own project ideas. These project ideas target to improve the company?s core business logic and, by its innovative character, possibly impact the whole gaming industry. You will be expected to align your team?s project progress and ideas with colleagues globally, so the ability to travel is essential! Partly you will do this remotely partly by travelling.
Skills and Experience
We expect that you have a research degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics or physics. Ideally you have worked with quantitative finance modelling or similar. You are comfortable with developing your ideas into working prototypes and achieving results within ambitious, but realistic, deadlines. You are probably not a fully-fledged software developer, however, you are a competent and confident programmer. A genuine interest in various sports will help understanding the underlying problem statements more accurately. You have experience in people management and see yourself providing high interpersonal, social and coaching skills. You have the drive to steer a team to deliver that solution in full detail. You have a sense for economically successful innovations. You enjoy explaining issues from your field of expertise to non-experts.
