As a Team Leader in the pipe department, you will lead small groups to carry out existing repair work on ships based on your superior's directive.
The work involves replacement and repair of the existing pipe system on ships at our shipyard in Landskrona. This means that you and your group will measure pipes on the ships and then manufacture the corresponding new pipes in our workshop. These must then be mounted on board the ship again.
The materials we work with are primarily steel pipes and in some cases also aluminum pipes. The dimensions are usually DN50 - DN500. Your work must maintain the quality that customers request. The work is usually carried out at our facility in Landskrona, but there may also be occasional business trips.
Self-control is an important piece of the puzzle in your work, as is caring for our equipment and keeping order in your workplace.
Each vessel is operated as a project, which is led by a project manager together with several employees. The pace is high and each project lasts an average of 7 to 10 days. Even though everyone has their strict roles with their tasks, the feeling is that we work in an informal organization. We help where needed.
Your background:
We set requirements for work experience as a plumber / pipe fitter in ship repair and in leading smaller groups for at least three years.
You must have good physique as there are a lot of stairs, long distances to walk and are generally physically demanding. You must also be able to work in confined spaces. You need to have good English both verbal and wrighting and have a B driving license.
