hela Sverige You will lead the team that is responsible for geometrical assurance and the packaging in our cabs. The geometrical assurance and packaging in the cab is very important in order to assure a good quality of our cabs from the start of a project to running production. You will be responsible for breaking down the order and project prerequisites to geometric prerequisites for engineering, product design and project management.
You will have global responsibilities for coordinating packaging engineers in Sweden, India, USA and South Korea.
Core Responsibilities
Lead the work with requiring and receiving the project prerequisites and requirements. These are broken down and/or interpreted to geometries within each packaging area and documented as sections and models.
Packaging Leader assures that functional sections and models are balanced and agreed with all stakeholders in accordance with the project time plan. The work is carried out in cab department and in cross-functional groups.
Packaging in the cabs.
Support and coordinate engineers cross functionally (Cab, electrical and chassis) in DMU, (Digital Mock-Up) issues.
DMU garage and monitoring of the same
Digital Geometrical Assurance including system-, process- and method development.
Responsible for the section book
Physical verification on prototype cabs (early SLS prototypes / Mock-ups) and in cabs in production.
Follow up and make quality assurance regarding DMU status.
Make sure that the used CAD data created by Volvo or by a supplier are according to Volvo standards.
Support CAD users and work with continuous improvements regarding the CAD tools and the methods.
Interface system management and monit clashes and interferences.
Minimum Education Required
We think that you have a university education within the area of R&D or comparable experience
You have good knowledge within Catia V5. Knowledge of other CAD systems is a plus
You enjoy working in an international environment. You have experience in leading global teams
