In Vattenfall the Business Division Distribution & Sales (D&S) manages the downstream businesses for profitability. The division covers all customer close operations; Customer service, Heat, Distribution, Sales B2C, Sales B2B and Energy Related Services.
To further improve our market position as the Smart Energy Enabler in the evolving energy landscape, Vattenfall needs to be even more customer centric. To reflect this, Business Division Distribution and Sales proposes a new organisation with two sales and marketing entities, Business and Consumers, bringing all our offerings to our customers. This proposed organisation will also consist of one product area, developing and managing own and partner solutions, as well as of several operational units with deep expertise in specialised areas, and have centralised staff functions. It will be governed as one single Profit/Loss for the entire Business Division (except Distribution and Energy Related Services, for un-bundling and market reasons) and use tailored KPIs for all units. Several decision forums will ensure a collaborative way of working.
The new organisation is a proposal, pending codetermination, and changes may occur. The organisation is planned to go live on January 1st, 2013. Manager appointments will be made after the co-determination process is finalised.

Our offer
As Team Lead Market Intelligence in our Business Intelligence & Lead Development team within the BU Business Sales you will be responsible for all BS Market Analysis and Market research creating Market, Competition, and Customer/Industry insights. You will manage the Market Intelligence function and specialists within BiLd across Europe. Key responsibillities also includes supporting the operational units within Business Sales with tactical insights to allow for an effective Go To Market and Sales approach creating the abilltiy to beat the competition.
The research methods used include monitoring, benchmarking and deep analysis via secondary research sources and insight collection from within VF channels. It also includes Market research, primary research, in all areas when needed.

The overall objective of the BiLd department is to support the BU Business Sales in reaching the financial goals, amongst others, by prioritization & extraction of target groups, prospects and customers, creating insight for our Go To Market approach towards our target groups and building a systematic approach and infrastructure delivering one common market view with insights easilly accessable and repeatable.

We are looking for
The successful candidate has a relevant University degree and a minimum of 7 years relevant work experience in a similar position. You have demonstrable experience in market intelligence and analysis as well as experience in reporting and leading people. You have also worked in a challenging international environment. You must also have:
• Market analysis and Research methodology and reporting
• Insights in the energy landscape (Macro, regulatory, competitor, customer)
• Analytical, Project mgmt and consultant/advisory skills
• Public Speaker on Energy Landscape and Smart Energy Enabler topics
• Sourcíng Mgmt
• Stakeholder and Partner mgmt
• highly developed analytical -, project mgmt - and consultant/advisory skills
• the ability to manage stakeholder expectations, clear communicator
• a fluent command of the English language, both verbally and written
