Kvarngärdesskolan, Uppsala International School, is one of the largest municipal schools in Uppsala. Our school is centrally located in Uppsala och 5 mins from the main train station.
Our students come from all over the world and in our bilingual classes they are taught in both English and Swedish to become true bilingual world citizens. We have bilingual classes from Junior Class (förskoleklass) to Grade 9 and Swedish classes from Grade F to 5 and also an English class for Grade F-4. As a teacher in BLIC 1-3 you have the responsibility for the students whole school day and all teaching is conducted in English. Your colleagues speak Swedish and English but your main language of teaching is English.

The work includes planning and teaching according to the Swedish national curriculum and encouraging students' creativity and skills. It also includes collaborating with colleagues to create a good work environment, contribute to developing the school's learning environment together with students and other staff and conduct an educational environment based on both the individual and the group's needs and development.
Publiceringsdatum2021-04-22BakgrundWe are looking for a person who have a teacher's ID and experience of teaching. The work requires that you have experience of working as a primary school teacher and of working with language development methods. As the language of instruction is English, you need to have a very good knowledge of English. In addition to this, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish national curriculum. If you have good computer skills linked to teaching, it is seen as a merit.
You are calm and collected in different situations and can focus on the right things. You are flexible and can see opportunities in change while you have the ability to have a holistic view and to see issues in a larger perspective. You take responsibility and drive your work forward to achieve results while you collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and flexible way. In addition, you have a good pedagogical ability and understanding of students' different conditions for absorbing knowledge.
