Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is a leading independent school group ("friskola") with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Internationella Engelska Skolan Tyresö is a school for grades 4-9 with approx. 940 students and approx. 83 staff. We offer a calm learning environment where teachers can teach and students can learn and we have staff and students from all over the world, bringing interesting knowledge and experience into the school.

We are situated 20 minutes from Gullmarsplan and a 5 minute walk from Tyresö Centrum. One of the bus stops is just behind the school and we also have a big parking garage just around the corner from our school building. The garage is connected to Q-park and their current fees are available online.

Would you like to work in an international environment in an organisation with a clear pedagogical vision?

We are now seeking qualified PE teachers for grades 4-9 to join our fantastic working environment full time. The position entails the usual pedagogical work such as planning, teaching and assessing but also meetings with colleagues, students and parents. There are 18 teaching hours for a full time position and the workdays are divided between teaching, duties, meetings and own time for planning your lessons. You will also be a mentor for 16 students with a co-mentor to help you manage a class that you share. As a mentor you are to contact your mentor parents once a month with individual feedback about the student's academic and social situation.

As a person you are a dedicated team member, flexible and with a positive attitude towards teaching, willing to go the extra mile for students and colleagues.

We are looking for:

Qualified, professional teachers. We require lärarlegitimation or if internationally qualified, a current teaching license/registration plus a Bachelor's degree and teaching qualification. (ESL qualifications such as TEFL are not applicable)
