ISH was established in 1995 to answer a growing demand for a truly international education at the Primary and Secondary levels. Today, we have approximately 850 students between 3 and 19 years of age attending our Pre-school, Primary School, Middle School and Diploma Programme following the International Baccalaureate curricula. Our students and teachers come from more than 30 different countries.
Our Pre and Primary schools are located in our own building at Östra Vallgatan 9. Our MYP program is located on a separate campus at the Nicolai school on Studievägen 2. These programmes offer an alternative for international families who are residing in the Helsingborg region on a temporary basis, or for those moving overseas for work assignments.
Our Diploma Program is also located at Nicolai school and is an excellent choice for all students, Swedish or International, looking to further their studies abroad or in Sweden once they graduate. The aim of our school is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.
At ISH, we understand that highly effective schools focus on student outcomes and understand that professional learning is the core lever for improving student learning. We have active professional learning communities whose aim is to work collaboratively through a teacher evaluation model so as to purposefully impact student progress.

Publiceringsdatum2020-04-08Dina arbetsuppgifterOur Visual Art teacher is retiring after a long service with the school. As a result, we are currently seeking an ambitious visual art teacher to join our DP team. Would you like to join us?
An IB Diploma Visual Arts teacher will possess a broad knowledge of art history and inspire curiosity about the evolution and application of the visual arts across cultures. They will be able to support students in developing as thinkers and as craftsmen in the student's medium of choice. The teacher must be capable and experienced in organizing a studio classroom, and capable of technical instruction in many visual arts mediums, from painting, drawing, photography and digital design, to sculpture and conceptual installation. An IB Diploma teacher must also be organized in supporting students working toward a college-level studio exhibition of their work, which students applying to art college will use to gain entry. The teacher must also be able to lead learning experiences in which students inform their artistic practice through comparative studies of artists' work. The IB teacher will also supervise 4000 word research essays within the field of Visual Arts.
This position is initially advertised at 75%. The assignment includes teaching the DP1/ DP2 Visual Art groups and an Art/Design class at MYP (middle school). The ambition is to offer a 100% position depending on additional subjects that can be offered by the candidate and the needs of the organisation.
KvalifikationerYou possess a degree within Visual Art and have strong experience working within the school system.
It is a requirement for the candidate to be fluent in English, both in speaking and writing. The successful candidate will be a strong team player and have the ability to work collaboratively with co-workers as well as students and parents. You communicate proactively; support and care for others. It will be of great advantage to have experience of the IB system and also to have previously worked within the international school system.
As a person, you are a positive, open-minded and flexible team player. You must demonstrate enthusiasm, warmth and strong interpersonal skills with children, parents, and colleagues and be committed to diversity and multicultural educational practices.
