We are seeking to employ an outstanding Teacher of Swedish.
This is a great opportunity for a colleague to join the school and help drive standards whilst developing Swedish in the Secondary phase. The successful candidate would teach Swedish to children in Year 3 to Year 8 (aged 7 to 13). As the school grows, the opportunity for further classes would be available.
This role could be combined with teaching Spanish for a fluent Spanish speaker.
Situated in Djursholm, a beautiful suburb of Stockholm, and enjoying an excellent reputation, the British International School of Stockholm (BISS) is a vibrant and highly successful school of nearly 300 children from 50 different countries. Meeting internationally recognised standards of excellence, the school is an accredited member of COBIS (the Council of
British International Schools).
We use the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) together with the UK National Numeracy and Literacy Strategies to provide high quality learning opportunities from Nursery to Year 6. We will be using the International Middle Years
Curriculum from Year 7 to Year 9 and Cambridge IGCSE courses for Years 10 and 11.
The ideal candidate will be:
a fluent Swedish speaker
