As a result, we seek to employ an outstanding Teacher of Science.
This is a great opportunity for a colleague to join the school and help drive standards whilst developing science in the Secondary phase. As the School grows, each team will increase and the successful candidate will be integral in helping build departments and move towards IGCSE provision.
Situated in Djursholm, a beautiful suburb of Stockholm, and enjoying an excellent reputation, the British International Primary School of Stockholm (BIPSS) is a vibrant and highly successful school of over 250 children from 40 different countries. Meeting internationally recognised standards of excellence, the school is an accredited member of COBIS (the Council of
British International Schools).
We use the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) together with the UK National Numeracy and Literacy Strategies to provide high quality learning opportunities from Nursery to Year 6. We will be using the International Middle Years
Curriculum from Year 7 to Year 9 and Cambridge IGCSE courses for Years 10 and 11.
The ideal candidate will be:
a fluent English speaker
a fully qualified teacher (UK BEd or PGCE with relevant degree, or the equivalent recognised
teaching qualifications from other countries) with a track record of improving and having a positive impact on children?s learning
ideally someone who can offer a second subject
someone with clear leadership potential
innovative, creative and resilient
willing to contribute to extra curricular activities and general school life
All applicants must:
have a minimum two years' teaching experience
be eligible to live and work in the EU.
