Kungsholmens gymnasium/Stockholms musikgymnasium is a popular inner-city school providing education in the Natural Science Programme, the Social Science Programme, the Humanities Programme and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.
Education is provided in Swedish or in English.

Our students are highly motivated to learn and are also active in the many clubs and associaltions within the school as well as in the Student Union.

We have a vacancy from January 2014 for a teacher of Physical Education combined with Mathematics. Teaching will be partly in the Swedish section and partly in the International section where all teaching is conducted in English.
Teaching is according to the Swedish National Curriculum in PE but according to the International Baccalaureate curriculum in mathematics.
Our teachers work in teams around the students and cross curricular work is a prioritised area.
We work formatively with students and encourage good communication between teachers and students regarding achievement and assessment.
All teachers are also mentors for a group of students and are expected to support this group with their overall study situation and keep in contact with the parents/guardians regarding school progress.
You are required to have a Teaching qualification in PE and Mathematics from Sweden or another recognised Teaching qualification.
Experience of formative ways of working is expected as is experience of setting grades for courses within the Swedish curriculum.
You must be able to teach in Swedish and in English.
The timetable will be available in December.
Löneform: Månadslön. Individual salaries based on qualifications and relevant experience.
Anställningsform: Tidsbegränsad.
Krav på arbetslivserfarenhet: Experience of working with upper-secondary students both in PE and in Mathematics will be to your advantage.
Experience of using IT in the classroom is also necessary.
Varaktighet: 6 månader eller längre. The post is temporary while our permanent member of staff is on maternity leave.
Arbetstid: Dagtid. According to the agreement for teachers.
