hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Engelska skolan Norr i Stockholm Engelska Skolan Norr is looking to recruit a qualified intermediate-level compulsory school teacher who teaches mathematics, science and English.
We offer the opportunity of a meaningful and fulfilling role at one of Stockholms oldest F-9 free-schools. We have 520 students and are situated at Roslagstull. We are engaged in and have strong values concerning diversity and educational development.
Engelska Skolan Norr is an intercultural school with a bilingual profile which was founded in August 1993.
The cultural diversity amongst students and teachers creates an environment where respect and understanding of differences is paramount, we strive for unity in diversity.
Every student has after the 9th grade developed language skills to the extent that they can continue with their studies in either an English or Swedish speaking institution. The student group is dedicated and highly motivated which can be seen, not least, in the latest test results that showed Engelska Skolan Norr as having the fourth best results in Sweden.
The contract on offer is a full-time ongoing contract, the first 6 months of which is a trial period.
Role and responsibilities:
Teaching of mathematics/science/english
To be a mentor for a class
To develop student knowledge in accordance to the swedish curriculum ( Lgr11)
Through clear leadership, help create an ordered, calm and safe environment both within the classroom and outside the classroom
To actively engage in the ongoing development of the school
To challenge and help develop each student academically, socially and emotionally
Qualifications:
You must be a fully qualified teacher, preferably with a minimum of three years experience and documented good results.
You have knowledge of the guiding documents for schools in Sweden.
You are structured, loyal and like responsibility
You are a clear and secure leader and a good example for all students
You are creative and open to new ideas and points of view
You have a good knowledge of IT. Knowledge of Schoolsoft is a plus.
You are driven and engaged.
You have a functional bilingualism in Swedish and English
