The International School of the Stockholm Region (ISSR) is a publically funded international school which exists primarily to serve the educational needs of the transient and/or international community of Stockholm. ISSR runs all three International Baccalaureate's curricula: Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme. The school's language of instruction is English for all subjects. The school has been running the Diploma Programme since 1999 and PYP and MYP since 2012. ISSR aspires to provide a high quality, international environment. The teachers at ISSR are qualified and experienced educators. Teachers and staff take part in the wide range of professional development resources and activities offered by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB). In addition to lessons, teachers often meet their students for individual guidance.

Publiceringsdatum2015-03-24ArbetsuppgifterThis fall ISSR will need a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher in History and English to teach in the MYP and the DP. The position includes organizing and carrying out dynamic and well-crafted lessons in History, English language acquisition and English Literature, and acting as a mentor to approximately 15 students, participating in the ISSR school community and working actively to build a culture of learning through collaboration.
KvalifikationerResponsibilities include:
• Planning high quality lessons and ongoing documentation of student achievement according to IB standards in MYP and DP.
• Maintaining an engaging and organized learning environment
• Mentorship for approximately 15 students
• Handling Extended Essays in History and English literature
• Maintaining ongoing parent/school communication
• Collaborate with colleagues across the school
• Continued professional development
Qualifications:
A qualified candidate will be:
• A certified teacher with Swedish lärarlegitimation
• International and or IB teaching experience
• IB authorized training DP and MYP
• Native English speaker (or near native fluency)
• Highly competent with IT (Windows platform, Smartboard, HTML, and other tools for learning).
Löneform: Månadslön. Månadslön
Monthly salary
Anställningsform: Tillsvidareanställning.
Arbetstid: Dagtid. Måndag till fredag
Monday to Friday
Tjänsten kan komma att föregås av en provanställning, på högst 6 månader.
