www.engelska.se About this vacancy We are seeking an experienced, reliable substitute teacher to join our team of educators. In this position, you will work in the absence of our regular teachers, aiding students in their daily tasks and helping ensure the understanding of the subject matter being covered. You should have some classroom teaching experience and possess the skills needed to cover daily instruction and manage the classroom environment in an orderly fashion. Duties and responsibilities Direct the classroom, accomplishing curriculum objectives and goals outlined in the lesson plans provided by the absent teacher Use materials provided to attain lesson goals Keep track of students' progress and write down information that'll be useful to the regular teacher Apply various teaching techniques to encourage participation and facilitate learning, as well as provide constructive feedback Take attendance according to the procedures of the school, keep classroom and work orderly, and maintain normal classroom rhythms Comply with all procedures, guidelines, and policies of the school at all times Maintain a professional attitude in all manners of conduct with students, staff, and parents, including a commitment to confidentiality Report any incidents regarding students' behavior in and out of the classroom Requirements and qualifications Previous experience as a part-time or full-time Teacher; additional experience working with children is a plus Teaching qualification Detail oriented and able to follow written and/or oral instructions Able to communicate effectively with students and staff Able to develop relationships with students in a brief time period Confidence and capability in giving instruction in the absence of the regular teacher Able to remain patient and approachable while also maintaining a calm classroom Willing and able to work standing for most of the day with few breaks to sit The successful candidate will be dynamic, enthusiastic, committed, team-player, willing to go the extra mile for both students and colleagues.
