Teacher - Art Year 4 & 5 with opportunity to work with our Student Care Team
We at Internationella Engelska Skolan Eskilstuna are seeking a qualified Teacher for grades 4-5, with an interest in Art to join our team at IES Eskilstuna. This position is suitable for a newly qualified, or experienced teacher. You will also have the opportunity for further professional development by working with our Student Care Team. The position is full-time, starting in August 2021.
As a teacher in IES you join a team of talented and dedicated teachers from Sweden and Overseas. You will have the dedication and support of team leaders and school leadership sharing the same goals, to ensure each child is reaching high academic aspirations in a calm and orderly environment, whilst mastering English and Swedish.
You are a professionally minded person with an attitude to succeed and make a difference everyday. You are looking for a caring and focused environment within a school that has a very strong identity of nurturing and developing talent both academically and pastoral. You are reflective and not afraid of being a leader and learning new strategies in class management and planning for learning.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive, committed and cooperative team-player, willing to go the extra mile for students and colleagues. In addition to teaching meaningful and enjoyable lessons, all staff are expected to be well organised, take pride in their mentorship and other school duties and be outstanding role models for our students.
You have a Swedish teaching license (lärarlegitimation) or if internationally qualified, a current teaching license/registration plus a Bachelor's degree and teaching qualification. We follow the Swedish curriculum LGR11.
Main duties include:
• Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom
• Report to guardians on the development, progress, and attainment of students
• Maintain good order and discipline among students, in accordance with the school's behaviour policies
• Mentorship of students is included in this position
