Our division Propulsion & Controls (PPC) is responsible for delivering propulsion and control systems in the front edge of technology to a worldwide market. Our systems are the heart, the brain and the muscles of the train.
We are now looking for a Software Engineer TCMS (Train Control and Management System).
You will be part of the team that develops and maintains the base software for our control and I/O products and will contribute to the whole development process from requirements to testing in both development and delivery projects. In this role you will work both close to the hardware with real time operating systems such as VxWorks and INTEGRITY but also work with complex application level software.
To succeed in this role we believe that you are a self-starter and have strong communication and negotiation skills. You have a structured way of working, an open mind and you are communicative towards customers and colleges. You are creative, have an eye for details and are well known for you analytical thinking skills. You are comfortable expressing your design and architecture in documentation and UML.
As our preferred candidate you:
• Master or bachelor degree in computer engineering
• Are skilled and experienced in working cross functionally
• Have experience from an international and multicultural environment
• Have embedded C/C++ as well as VxWorks and/or Integrity experience
• Have UML experience.
• Development of safety critical software is beneficial
• Are fluent in English
• Have worked a minimum of 5 years in similar position.
