hela Sverige The plan and build team is responsible for the architecture and high-level design of TCMS components always ensuring that those components fit into the overall Base Platform and fulfill the customer expectations. The job position Component Architect exists to facilitate the ambition to better steer and control technical work, whether done internal to BT or by external component suppliers, during development and maintenance.
• The Component Architect steers an internal component team technically during development and maintenance of components
• The Component Architect steers external component suppliers technically during development and maintenance of components
•
The work constitutes of customer and supplier interaction, requirements management and breakdown. The Component Architect is also sometimes responsible for leading technical teams (project management) during development and maintenance of components as well as for promoting the components internally of the TCMS departments and externally within greater BT.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As member of a team of component architects you will define, implement, maintain and support a control system platform including controllers, input and output units, displays and communication equipment as well as related engineering tools to ensure quality, availability and competitiveness over time.
You will be responsible for:
• Technology outlook and road mapping
• Product roadmaps
• Change control and management
• Architecture and design.
• Modelling and simulation
• Requirements management
• Release planning
• Documentation
• An engineering degree at master level or similar. Preferably in computer science and software.
• Minimum 8 years related experience.
• Embedded systems including hardware and software. Project and change management.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies such as IoT, artificial intelligence, multi core processors etc.
• Transportation industry experience would be an asset.
• Fluent in English. Swedish would be an advantage.
• Willingness to travel as this role will involve some travelling.
