We are seeking a committed Tax Manager to join our dynamic Finance department at Carlsberg Sverige. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our operational tax strategy while ensuring compliance with legal requirements and organizational standards.
About the role

As the Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all operational tax matters within the Swedish market. Reporting to the local Head of Accounting in Sweden with a solid line, and a dotted line to the Head of WE Tax Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance, governance, and quality in all tax-related activities. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and active participation in driving efficiency and standardization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with local regulations pertaining to direct taxes, indirect taxes, fees, and transfer pricing.
• Build positive relationships with the local Head of Accounting and Accounting Manager to align tax strategies with financial strategies.
• Collaborate with the Head of Western Europe Tax Operations and Carlsberg Shared Service tax operations team to accurately calculate, report, and account for local tax balances.
• Stay informed about changes in tax legislation and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide support and participate in accounting and internal controls matters relevant to the Local Finance team.
• Implement, maintain, and test Carlsberg Group's tax control framework to ensure adherence to standards.
• Promote improvement initiatives on behalf of Group Tax to enhance operational efficiency.
• Offer tax planning and advisory guidance in operational tax matters to support local business activities.
• Assist in tax disputes and litigation cases, providing close involvement and support as needed.
• Participate in external forums to stay updated on local tax developments and contribute to strategic tax reduction initiatives.

The role is located at Carlsberg Sverige HQ in Solna, where you are part of the finance team. Other accounting related responsibilities can be added, to ensure the team's overall priorities are fulfilled.

Who are you?
We believe you have a university degree in economics, finance, business management, or a related field. You have experience in local and regional taxes, with a few years of operational tax and accounting experience. Previous experience in risk management through control frameworks is essential, ideally gained in FMCG companies, consulting, in-house environments, or Tax Authorities. You have a significant understanding and experience with both IFRS and local statutory accounting standards. Basic process understanding is valued, with proficiency in SAP considered advantageous. Fluency in English and Swedish is required, accompanied by excellent verbal and written communication skills.

As a person, you are motivated and autonomous, with a demonstrated ability to take ownership of agreed goals. You are proficient in navigating complexity, possessing an organizational mindset. Versatility in communication is essential, with comfort in conveying information through words, numbers, and interpersonal interactions. You demonstrate a structured approach to planning and execution, coupled with a professional and execution-focused mindset. You have a genuine interest in tax and willingness to learn more within tax and accounting.
Also, you can work strategically and place tasks within the broader organizational context. Clear communication and influencing skills are necessary, with experience in stakeholder management at senior levels. At last, a high level of energy, coupled with a team player mentality, is expected.
