Tax is a highly prioritized area with its important impact on shareholder value for Sandvik. Sandvik is growing both organically and through acquisitions and has a Tax Function in the forefront. Sandvik’s Group Tax Function is a part of Group Finance and reports to the CFO. The Function has over the past years been undergoing a rapid development and consists today of 18 people who share the vision of becoming a strategic and highly developed function in supporting our business activities.

Key performance areas
As Tax Controller your main responsibilities include:
• Monitoring and analyzing tax related parts of the quarterly reports
• Training in the area of tax reporting
• Development of the forecasting process regarding income taxes
• Measuring business performance in the area of tax
• Development of internal control in the area of tax
• Monitoring and evaluation of procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with IFRS
You will also provide support to business units regarding income tax accounting policies and procedures. Overall, you will have substantial responsibility and become a key player in the further development of activities within the Sandvik Group Tax Function.
Your profile
You have a degree and some years of experience working within a tax function in an international company with a global perspective, or from auditing with tax-related accounting and tax issues. Good knowledge of IFRS and the ERP-system is a requirement. You communicate fluently in English in speech and writing. In general, you must have a demonstrated capacity to communicate with various counterparties and adjust language and dialogue thereafter. We place great importance on you being business-oriented, proactive, independent, analytical and capable of change management. You are an accomplished relationship builder and promoter.
