hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos World Domination AB i Malmö The Disgusting Food Museum is an experience museum oriented around different food that is completely normal for someone somewhere, but for most other people it might be considered strange or even disgusting. We have collected and put on display numerous dishes and edible foodstuffs from all over the world, most of them thought provoking, eye opening or just plain odd.
Visitors to the museum get to go on an exciting journey through many different cultures while getting a glimpse of some of the traditions, both historical and modern, around some of their food. On that journey they will get a chance to look at, read about, smell and eventually taste some of the food - that is where YOU come in!
As a member of the DFM team you will mainly be working as a guide in the last stretch of the visitors adventure with us - the Tasting Bar. Your job will be to persuade the guests to try to eat as many of the 25-ish things we have to give while sharing some information about each of them.
Who are you?
You love to talk to people in a service setting. You are easy going and connecting with people from all walks of life comes naturally to you. You know when to make a joke and when to be serious and calming. Expressing yourself and getting your point across in a concrete manner is not an issue for you. All in all you are just a nice person who gets a kick out of giving other people a fun experience.
You are fluent in English, as we have a lot of tourists visiting us. Any other language, including Swedish, is meritorious but not necessary.
Yes, there will be moments of high tempo during the busy times so you need to be able to be comfortable in that environment. Breaktime and a healthy work environment is important for us though and so we will do our best to make sure no one is overloaded.
No previous experience needed. We do not care what you have done or not done in your work life before you came to us. Personality and whether or not you will be able to have fun here is all we take into account.
What we offer
At the moment we are looking for part time workers, but depending on scheduling and vacation of regular staff we can offer more over time, especially during the summer months.
All training and education is made in house.
You will be a valued part of a multicultural, warm hearted, if sometimes a bit strange, workforce all doing our best to spread joy to people around us. We pride ourselves in not doing things like "everybody else".

Scenario 1, The Reluctant Taster: A visitor walks into the tasting bar, browses for a bit, and upon seeing the food items, wrinkles their nose in distaste and mumbles, "I can't believe people eat this stuff." How would you approach and converse with this visitor?
Scenario 2, The Overconfident Critic: A visitor is loudly expressing to their companion how they've tried "far weirder things" than what's on offer and seems to be trivializing the experience. How would you engage them in the tasting experience?
