Frontal Restraints System (FRS) is now looking for a Task Leader for new development of Interior Safety Systems for frontal applications.
FRS is part of the section for restraints, which is responsible for all interior passive safety systems development within the Interior Engineering department. The responsibilities area for the FRS group are:
* DAB - driver airbag
* STW - steering wheels
* PAB - passenger airbag
* KnAB - knee airbag
* PPA / pedestrian protection airbag
* PRN / pyro release nut
Main responsibilities
* Leading the work of development for one or more components in regards to technology, costs, functions and timing
* Working in a cross functional engineering group, consisting all necessary competences within Volvo Cars and from our suppliers
* Perform as a project leader, taking care that all specifications and prerequisites are precise and upon expectations, and making sure of good collaboration with engineers, purchasing, manufacturing, design, production planning and international suppliers
* Act as one of ours ambassadors who will secure Volvo Cars leading position in passive safety
Required qualifications
* B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Mechanical engineering or other equivalent field
* At least five years of experience in Design engineering or Testing
* Understanding of Safety Systems
* Good knowledge in Volvo Cars systems
* Previous experience as a Task Leader or similar are highly appreciated
* Fluent in English(written and spoken), Swedish is beneficial
* Driver's license "B", valid in EU
