Task Leader - Chassis Electronics

At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As TASK LEADER - CHASSIS ELECTRONICS within the group Steering Electronics and Functions you will lead development tasks for implementing chassis sensors in our car programs. You will hold responsibility for timing, technology and cost. You will coordinate all activities required to put the sensors into production and secure that requirements from active chassis and levelling systems are fulfilled. You will have a cross-functional role and develop a broad network within Volvo Car Corporation.

Steering Electronics and Functions is part of the Chassis department. Chassis develop first class mechanics, electronics and software for suspension, brakes and steering. Chassis has passion for developing technology to fulfil aggressive targets and aim to be the leading actor in the areas of active safety and vehicle dynamics.

Job profile:

• Define mechanical and electrical interfaces
• Specify electrical and mechanical component requirements
• Support of purchase and leading supplier engineering
• Establish, execute and follow-up time plans
• Secure as well internal as external deliveries
• Status reporting and deviation control

Your profile:

• University degree in Electrical engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent experience
• Three years experience of developing electronic hardware and software for embedded systems in industrial applications
• Interested in mechatronics and comfortable working with components that have clear mechanical and electrical interfaces
• Desire and ability to contribute and develop both the team and the work processes
• Independent
• Strong team player
• Excellent communication skills and fluent in English
• Competence in functional safety workflow and ISO26262 is meritorious
