At Coromant Purchasing, which is part of Global Operations, we secure supply from our external partners and ensure that the suppliers, as well as the products they deliver, meet Sandvik Coromant's demands regarding quality, delivery, costs and sustainable performance. To strengthen our team in Sandviken, we are now looking for a proactive and persistent Tactical and Operational Buyer.
Key performance areas
In this position, you work closely with the suppliers to improve the supply chain performance; following up on selected key performance indicators and implementing development programs within their businesses. You are responsible for generating forecasts for suppliers to enable a delivery capability that matches the requirements. Additionally you have the operative and communicative responsibility for deliveries and purchase-order handling, including registration of order acknowledgements and monitoring deliveries to ensure they are made on time. To succeed in your work, you cooperate with stakeholders within logistics, production, product management, development and the Global Category teams. Travel is natural part in this role.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Technology or Business and with a minimum of two years' experience from working with operational and tactical buying. Of course, you have good computer skills, especially in Excel and at least one purchasing system. Knowledge of SAP is advantageous. As we work in Sweden, but on a global scale, you must be fluent in Swedish as well as in English, both verbally and in writing. Skills in other languages are considered an advantage as well.
